8th March

Dear Parents/Carers,

We have had a fantastic celebrating World Book Day. Each class has visited the library and the children returned to school with books that intrigued and interested them. The children last took part in a drama workshop, re-enacting Shakespeare’s ‘A Mid-summer Night’s Dream. They used drama techniques to develop their understanding of the characters and plot.

On Thursday, it was wonderful to see the children dressed up as their favour book character. Staff across the school dressed as superheroes! We love the way they nurture our children and they are hero’s every single day.

Thanks to all the parents who joined us for our parade! The children from Nursery through to Y6 enjoyed participating and it was wonderful to see the older children championing and supporting the children in the infant school.

Each class learnt a poem and performed it to the school on Friday! It was amazing to see our children showcase their talents and ability to express themselves in detail deferent forms. A huge thank you to Miss Bickmore for organising such a sensational book week!

A letter with all the Lenten dates will be sent out next week. We have planned events to remind the children of the sacrifice that God has made for us. Parents are invited to worship with us.

St Joseph’s Feast day is 19th March and we will all be celebrating with Mass in the morning and you and your families are invited to celebrate Mass with us.

Happy Mothers Day to all our mums, aunties, grandmothers and caregivers. We hope you have a wonderful day.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend,

Mrs Ashley & the St. Joseph’s Team
