Dear Parents/Carers, Our new newsletter can be found here. We hope you find that you have a better understanding of…
Dear Parents/Carers,
This week we have shown what a great community we are and really lived out our Mission ‘Together we can, with Christ by our side.’ The whole school completed a Memory Mile in hour of Baby Teddy and all our loved ones lost on Thursday and it was a truly wonderful event. Children from Nursery (who did more laps than we even thought they could!) to Year 6 ran with the team to raise money, Meningitis Now and a school prayer garden.
Some children have let us know that they haven’t printed off their sponsorship forms so we give them one on Monday. Please can all monies raised be handed in/paid on parent pay by Friday 10th May. The children are keen to know which class and school has raised the most.
On Wednesday our Governors came to visit our school and the children and team were glad to have them in school. They asked the children questions about their learning and school life and the team about our vision and their wellbeing. The relationship the school has with our Governors is a strong one and this partnership ensures Leaders are both supported and challenged to lead our schools well. I am grateful to all the Governors for giving up their time.
The Charity Disco this evening was a great success and the children said that they had a wonderful time. Thanks to all of those who bought a ticket in support. A huge thank you to all the parents and the staff that helped at the disco your time and generosity made this possible.
Congratulations to the Year 1 and 2 children who took part in multi skills today at Old Palace school. The children really enjoyed themselves and told me it took all their energy! Good job we got Chef Mo to save them a lunch, as they wanted seconds. Well done children and thank you for representing our school so well.
A reminder that your child’s class phot will be taken on Tuesday and school is closed on Thursday to all children a part from Y6 in the morning due to the Poling Day.
We are happy to share that Mrs Chrusciak begins her maternity leave today. We wish her the best of luck and know that she is going to be a wonderful mum. Mrs Tope will be taking over the teaching of this class to ensure the standard of teaching and learning remains high.
I hope you and your families have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for the amazing support shown.
Mrs Ashley and the St. Joseph’s Team
