Dear Parents/Carers,

This week has been another busy and productive one at St. Joseph’s and it was great to see that our clubs have started and extra-curricular activities have begun. Thanks for your patience and constructive feedback about this. We will get this ready for Spring Term in December so clubs start smoothly in January. Children on waiting lists will be prioritised.

We had two brilliant days learning how to skip to stay healthy! The children enjoyed the celebration assemblies at the end of the day and some were able to showcase the new skills they had learnt to their peers. We had lots of fun learning new skills and we even attempted Double-Dutch skipping! Thanks to Mr Abrahams and Mrs Mangan for organising.

We have purchased new Prayer Books for each class. Weekly, a child in the class will be selected to take the prayer book home and write their own prayer in the book to return to share with their class or teacher if they wish. This is a lovely way to show the partnership between home and school life in children’s spiritual development.

I have received emails from parents with regards to concerns about their child/children. The quickest most effective way to raise a concern is with your child’s teacher or via the school office. We are also on the gates at the beginning and end of the day and invite you to speak to us so we can support and follow up.

Some parents are stating that they are not getting any communication from the school. Just to reiterate that communication is via the Weduc App so please ensure you’ve downloaded this. If you are experiencing any difficulties, please let the school office know and they can help you. Lots of parents have been doing this.

Really excited to see the firework tickets have been released by the PTA! We are so blessed to have such a proactive PTA working in partnership with the school to improve the educational experiences of our children. If you would like to join or be a helper, please let one of them know or leave a message for them at the school office.

We must be mindful when dropping your children off to school, unfortunately some of our neighbours’ driveways have been blocked and it has impacted them.

May you and your family have a good weekend,

Mrs Ashley and the St. Joseph’s Team
