2nd December 2022

1st Week of Advent

‘Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness’

This term is flying by and it’s hard to believe that we are now at the end of Week 5 with only two weeks until the end of term. We had an excellent Inset day on Monday around outdoor learning and promoting our Enterprise curriculum next term. Key information will be uploaded onto your child’s Google Classroom the last week of term and is also available on the School Website.

Indoor Athletics Team

Congratulations to our KS2 Athletics team who have qualified for the finals. They came first in the qualifying heats held on Thursday, 1st December. The children were amazing and incredibly supportive of each other. A memory to treasure and celebrate.

The next two weeks are going to be hectic, so please add important dates to your diary.

Wellbeing Day – 8th December 2022
Dear Parents and Carers
We have organised a day where children come off timetable and have the opportunity to apply their maths and English skills through different activities. There is a focus on wellbeing and expression through art, drama, sport and outdoor learning. Our wellbeing day will be on Thursday, 8th December 2022 and we are inviting you to join us.

As it coincides with National Christmas Jumper Day we will be taking part in a Santa Run on the field (weather permitting) and ask that children wear a Christmas jumper/Tshirt. We would love you to join us for the Santa dash and wear Christmas hats, jumpers etc. Times are as follows: Infants at 9.15am and Juniors at 2.30pm.

Nativity plays – KS1
We will be hosting our Nativity play on Wednesday 7th December. The children have been working incredibly hard to learn their lines and beautiful Nativity songs. We are all very excited to perform it to our wonderful friends and families.

We would like to invite Year 1 parents to attend the morning performance at 9:15am and Year 2 parents the afternoon session at 2:15pm. Both performances will be the same but owing to limited space we are having two performances.

We look forward to seeing you
