Dear Parents/Carers,

On Tuesday and Wednesday the children took part in circus activities. They had lots of fun developing their balance and gross motor skills. They had a special assembly at the end of each day where children were selected to show their friends what skills they had learned. The children really enjoyed themselves and we are grateful to Mr Abrahams for organising this event.

The PTA have organised a ‘Guess the Eggs’ contest for the children. Posters are around the school. The children have to guess how many eggs are in the jar and the closest guess to the amount wins the jar! The pupil leadership team will be supporting with this event and the proceeds will go towards the school. It is possible to pay for a guess via Parent Pay or cash.

A huge thanks to the PTA for all they do. Due to the generosity of their time and fundraising we were able to purchase the new playground markings on the junior playground. Children absolutely love their new playground and it is a testament of what can be achieved together. Thanks to Mrs Mapp for leading on the design.

It was great to see so many children take part in the Bedtime Stories Event on Friday. This was the final activity that celebrated Book Week and the love of reading we are trying to develop for all our children. A huge thank you to Miss Bickmore, Mrs Tope and all the team for making this happen for our children and the PTA for serving the children hot chocolate and a treat.

Please ensure you look at your Lentern Letter and the schools calendar for key dates and events. We are looking froward to celebrating St. Joseph’s Day on Tuesday (you are all welcome to Mass at 9.30am) and to the Y3 Production in the final week of term.

We hope you and your families have a great weekend,

Mrs Ashley and The St. Joseph’s Team
