Sports Hall Athletics London results – St Joseph’s
St Joseph’s wins 5th place among South London boroughs in the London Youth Games (Sports Hall Athletics) final
We are delighted to inform you that our school has managed to maintain our sporting achievements during this difficult time.
Our Year 5 & 6 team, who won the Croydon competition in early December, have gone on to represent Croydon against 29 other London boroughs, placing 5th among boroughs in South London. Croydon was ranked 16th overall.
St. Josephs have reached the Croydon final of this particular competition for the past 6 years, going on to win and represent the borough in the London final on 2 occasions.
This year’s competition involved Standing Long Jump, Speed Bounce, Vertical Jump, 10 metre Sprints and Chest Throw.
We currently have a very strong Year 5 team ready and waiting to train for next year’s competition and we have high hopes for St. Joseph’s once again reaching next year’s finals.
