Sports Mark Platinum – 3 Years in a Row!
St Joseph’s is proud to announce that we have achieved the School Games Platinum Mark Award for 2019/2020.
This is the third academic year in a row that St Joseph’s has received this prestigious award.
The School Games Mark is a Government-led scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.
Our award, in particular, acknowledges that we offer inclusive competitive opportunities, suitable for all young people within our curriculum, in our after-school clubs, and at competition level.
Our special thanks to Mrs Mangan, our indefatigable PE co-ordinator for her dedication to developing our pupils in this field and to the many organisations who have generously contributed their time and resources to our school, including Trinity School, Bishop Thomas Grant School and John Fisher School.
