Puppy training school at St Joseph’s

Did you get a new puppy for Christmas?

South London Dog Training and Behaviour hold weekly lessons at St Joseph’s for puppies, teaching them basic but important skills such as:

  • Come when called
  • Sit, lie down and stand on command
  • Walk on a loose lead without pulling
  • Accept handling (including for vets and groomers)
  • ‘Wait’
  • ‘Settle’
  • Accept people being around food bowls, bones and chews
  • Stop play biting
  • Greet people without jumping up
  • Be sociable with humans and other puppies

They also have lessons in loose lead walking and canine hoopers (agility).

The founders of South London Dog Training and Behaviour, Louise and Neal, have been letting our field for the past two years, providing an important income for the school. Through their support, we have been able to fund extra resources for our pupils (e.g. school jackets, activity boxes and food for FSM pupils) as well as to support our holiday programme costs.
