Dear Parents/Carers, Our new newsletter can be found here. We hope you find that you have a better understanding of…
The pupils at St Joseph’s were given the opportunity to enter the Ninth Annual MET Police Christmas Tree appeal.
This year, the appeal was partnered with ‘The Childhood Trust’. The Childhood Trust funds grassroots charities and their projects to alleviate the impact of child poverty in London.
For the appeal, the children were encouraged to submit a Christmas themed poster that would then be used for the Christmas Tree Appeal. The Federation of St Joseph’s School submitted over one hundred amazing entries!
Commissioner Dick picked three finalists from all the entries submitted by our school and children across London.
Rafael Moniz in year 3 did exceptionally well and his entry was selected to represent the MET Police South area, which includes the London boroughs of Croydon, Sutton and Bromley.
Further to this, Rafael’s design was selected as one of the finalists by the MET Commissioner Cressida Dick.
Rafael was invited to a special virtual meeting where he had the opportunity to meet and speak to the Commissioner.
