On Monday 27th January, year 5 went on an amazing trip to the British Museum to discover the wonders of ancient Egypt. They were able to explore the statues of the kings and gods from this time as well as investigate the process of mummification, even visiting the famous Cleopatra sarcophagus. As well as this, they were able to explore the Sutton Hoo exhibit in preparation for our topic on the Anglo-Saxons. It was an enjoyable trip and the children shown great interest in all the museum had to offer. It is well worth the trip there.
