Tuesday the 9th February was Safer Internet Day and the theme was, “Play your part for a better Internet”.
We had a Key Stage 2 assembly on Tuesday to discuss how we can use the internet safely and how important it is for all of us to work at making the internet a safe, happy place to visit for everyone. In year 2 we used the laptops to go to the Think You Know website and watch cartoon clips on using the internet safely. The children looked at our website and used the learning links page to find it. We then created a poster to display on our E-safety at St. Joseph’s Board. Some children in years 2 – 6 created posters for our E-Safety poster competition and the deadline for this is the Monday after half term when I will give out prizes for some of them. Year 6 have been looking at Cyber bullying in their English lessons and took part in an online quiz as you can see in the pictures.
