On Friday and Monday special assemblies were held for all the children and staff. Mrs McMillan led a very poignant service where the choir sang beautifully and the readers spoke with reverence. The children read from our St Joseph’s Roll of Honour as children knelt and placed poppies on the board for each one. All the children sat respectfully throughout and felt moved by the words and music. Then yesterday Mrs Langford-Jackson led an assembly showing the Cenotaph procession and explained to all the children the meaning of remembrance and how important it is that we remember those who fought and died for us.
