This week, the children of St Joseph’s got to meet their new sports coach from Crystal Palace Foundation, Mr Lutchman.

Mr Lutchman spoke to them about the work he does for the Foundation, covering the following sports: football, handball, tennis, multi-skills, netball, basketball, dodgeball, hockey, gymnastics, indoor athletics, outdoor athletics, cricket, tag rugby, golf and many more.

In return, the children shared with Mr Lutchman our 6 core values of Honesty, Teamwork, Respect, Self-Belief, Passion and Determination.

Mr Lutchman said ” I look forward to having fun with the children and staff of St Joseph’s. If we work well together, then I might even be able to bring in some special VIPs from Crystal Palace, from both the women’s and men’s teams” to come and say hello to all of you”.

Mr Lutchman has been working in P.E for over 18 years, providing a high level of curriculum P.E. to schools across London.

In his work at the Palace for Life Foundation, he has delivered P.E  and clubs for over 30 schools a week and by the end of the year, the Foundation hopes to engage over 100 schools.

Fun fact- Mr Lutchman obtained his light aircraft pilot licence by the age of 16.
