We have a long history of a having a supportive and active PTA at St Joseph’s. The PTA role is varied and helps to facilitate a caring community around the school. The association have been instrumental in raising funds for the school and more recently they helped to purchase the mini bus and have provided money to enhance the school’s sound systems.
What do the PTA do?
The PTA organise parties and celebrations for the children at the end of the school year and at Christmas. They purchase a cake for the Year 6 leavers and arrange a thanksgiving mass for the whole school community.
The PTA provide a second hand uniform service and regularly hold sales, this again supports the parents of the school and provides a worthwhile service.
The PTA opens its membership to all parents of the school; however we do elect a Chair, a Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary at the annual AGM meeting.
We are proud of the commitment and energy we gain from our committee and we hope that it continues to be a strong part of the school.
