International Week at St Joseph’s!
This is a special time of year when we focus on celebrating the many different cultures in our school family, also linked to Black History month. It gives us all time to celebrate our differences as well as our talents. This as always ended with a wonderful celebration of foods around the world in our Infant Hall. Thank you to all who came and joined us and those who bought amazing dishes for us to share.
In the Nursery during international week the children explored the rich cultures and traditions of China. The children used sponges and paint to create Panda’s and Dragons. They also used a range of media and materials to create puppets. The children enjoyed the experience of using chopsticks to eat noodles. The Nursery children wore traditional Chinese clothes and enjoyed dancing to Chinese music. They had a fantastic time!
