This week year 5 have been on several trips
Some children went to Fanfest where they all enjoyed the experience of cheer-leading,boxing and resistance sliding with a picnic lunch. The rest of the year group travelled through the maze in Crystal Palace park, they then visited the farm and the dinosaurs while learning about the history of our beautiful local park. Their next outing was to St Joseph’s College for a Design and Technology day. This was thoroughly enjoyed by all and the children were so excited to tell us about the amazing day they had. They had an opportunity to try go-karting , then they did an experiment which had them holding fire in their hands and being able to pass this on to the next person! They were given a woodwork lesson where they used saws and other tools to carve their initials. Food technology was a highlight where they were able to cook pizza. A big thank you to St. Joseph’s College for giving the children a truly memorable day! Finally today the year 5 children went to Goldsmiths University to experience a taste of ‘uni life’ where they were able to attend a lecture, enjoy a practical session on Anthropology and get a complete campus tour. Thanks to all who have made these trips possible they really have had a week to remember!
